After completing his Law studies Peter spent two years with an Austrian business law firm. In 1988 he began a banking career, joining the secretariat of the management board at Creditanstalt. In 1993 he took over as Prokurist (authorised signatory) in charge of managing the CA-Group’s principal investments. From 1994–1999 Peter held a variety of positions as an executive director or CEO in investment banking, asset management and treasury of BA~CA Group in Vienna and London.
Thereafter he gained a reputation as executive consultant before being appointed as Head of Financial Services Department at the Vienna office of Kienbaum Consultants International with responsibility for the care of financial services clients in Austria and Central and Eastern Europe. He became a member of the management board at the start of 2001. As Head of the international financial services practice group he was responsible for various international key accounts. At the end of 2001 Peter took up an appointment as Managing Director of Gemini Executive Search Austria and Head of the Gemini Group financial services competence centre.
