Percival has been active in the banking and consultancy fields since completing his Law degree. In 1988 he took over as Head of the capital markets department of Erste Bank AG. Then in 1990 he moved to Raiffeisen Group where, in one of his positions as general manager of Raiffeisen Ost-Invest Ges.mbH, he was directly involved with investments in companies in Central and Eastern Europe. As regional manager for M&A at Raiffeisen Investment AG and in various positions as executive and non-executive director on the boards of investment banking subsidiaries of the Raiffeisen central bank in Eastern Europe he gained many years of on-location experience in the peculiarities of the Central and Eastern European markets. Percival has managed numerous cross-border M&A transactions and has been able to secure many well recognised international clients. In this respect he has also been jointly responsible for the development of numerous business subsidiaries in Austria and the Central and Eastern European region. This has included responsibility for their strategic direction along with determining their organisational and staffing structures. In the period 2002 to 2003 he was General Manager of AWS, Austria’s national corporate development bank, where he initiated a process of integration and reorganisation of the four component companies.
