He studied law at the University of Vienna and, while carrying out his studies, he joined the Creditanstalt Bank. At the bank he held various positions that made good use of his corporate business knowledge and involved close customer contact. Along with his direct responsibilities in the bank he also acted as a non-executive board director in various Creditanstalt subsidiaries.

 

Since 1992 he held the position of a regional director, Vienna, of Bank Austria Creditanstalt. Here he was significantly responsible for the success of the banks Austrian commercial accounts business, involving the biggest players in the national economy.
Herbert has also been instrumental in the selection of high potentials for the banking group’s trainee programme which has yielded very positive results.

 

Since the beginning of 2005 he has played a significant role as an advisor to matrix consult international GmbH utilising his broad knowledge of the banking sector and his extensive portfolio of contacts in Austrian and foreign companies.
