Franz studied philosophy at the University of Vienna and joined the Creditanstalt Bank in 1974 where he served for over 20 years in managerial positions. His main responsibilities centred around financial securities and investor relations. As a member of the executive board of Creditanstalt Investment Bank AG he was responsible for corporate finance, capital markets and group marketing over a number of years. Following this he served as a director and chief financial officer of Do & Co Restaurants and Catering AG. Parallel to this he has occupied positions on the executive and non-executive boards of other companies and been involved in various privatisations and IPO's.

 

Through his numerous managerial positions over a span of 27 years, Franz has built up a wealth of experience in investment banking. His specialist areas include global capital markets and consortia business in Central, Western and Eastern Europe. Since 1987 he has played a leading role in many privatisations and IPO's in Austria and various investment transactions throughout the European Union and in CEE/Emerging Markets.
